Charlie Franks Biography

Charlie Franks has been a performer for most of his life. Inspired by the band Sha-Na-Na, and later KISS, he formed his first 50’s tribute band at age 12.  It was at that early age he also began performing as the King.  Charlie’s love for the Elvis legacy was already coming through in his performances.

            Charlie also learned early on how to do voice impressions from his father, Samuel Franks, a former Shakespearean actor and impersonator.  Charlie’s large repertoire of over 140 voices, ranging from Rodney Dangerfield and Garth Brooks to many former presidents, Actors, Cartoon Characters, Musicans and many other Celebrities.

            For nearly 20 years, Charlie’s performances were a second job, and an adored hobby, as he managed and owned several different companies.  Then for personal reasons, and time constraints, Charlie stopped performing for several years.  His great love for performing and the stage, however, never stopped calling to him.

            About eight years ago, Charlie decided to follow his true passion for entertaining again and began developing “The ‘Ultimate’ Elvis Experience.”   Charlie sold his businesses, and began to work on the show, paying careful attention to detail, as he recreated the “Experience” that Elvis was on stage. Including the Sound, The Look and the Charisma that Elvis brought to the stage.  Charlie’s reception has been nothing less than tremendous, and his performances have earned him rave reviews.

            In  the spring of  2009 Charlie relocated the base of operations for the show to Las Vegas and along with performing his show all over the country, also  created his new show entitled “Me, Myself, and Us”. This production audience through six decades of "pop culture" with Charlie performing over 100 different voices and impressions from the worlds of TV. Film, Politics, Music and more! This combination of multi-media, narration and live performance is a funny, entertaining and emotional experience people of all ages can enjoy, and most certainly will never forget…
